Bonus Tip - Are you using Ecademy to help Google listings?
If so, then the following tips that I give to my clients might come in handy smile 1) On the front page you have the option to update your status - do this at least once a day and include your web address in your status. As an example, I update mine a few times a day with different message along the lines of “Offering 299 Steps to Website Heaven free at http://www.299steps.com”, and also with links to clients’ sites. Google spiders the status page (not the front page) and follows the link to your site - this is good smile 2) In your profile, at the top, I want you to use your keyphrases to link to your website. Not sure what this means? Look at my profile at http://www.ecademy.com/user/nikkipilkington If you want me to write and optimise your profile for you i’ll be happy to do so - just drop me a line to find out more. Google spiders profiles, and having your keyphrases pointing to relevant pages on your site is a big help in your Google rankings. 3) I want you to post and ad in Marketplace. In the title of the ad, I want you to use a phrase that is important to you. As an example, I recently posted an ad that said “Do you want higher Google listings?” Within the body of the ad, repeat the keyphrase, and link it to your site. This is important as if non members of Ecademy see the ad they can follow the link to your site. Also, Google will follow it. Also use other related keyphrases and text. Marketplace ads are spidered every 30 minutes or so and a link from one will help your Google listings 4) This is an optional one really - I’d like you to consider posting a ‘blog’ or an article. (Don’t have any articles? Ask me about our article writing service). By going to the ‘blogs’ page you can post an article - at the end of this article (and any other blog you post) I’d like you to have what is called a ’signature’. This is a 3 line signoff. Your signoff should contain a couple of your keyphrases, linked to your website. Ask me if you’re not sure how to set this up.
