Double take case study

Do you want to get top Google rankings with your own website? Double Take studios, one of the country’s leading luxury ‘makeover’ photographic studios, get most of their business through personal recommendation. But they wanted their website to be easy to find, and to increase online sales. Nikki Pilkington has worked closely with the company to help achieve their online business objectives. Catherine Rickwood from Double Take www.doubletake-uk.com explains

“From small beginnings in 1997, Double Take studios now photographs more than two hundred customers a day at their studios around the country. The company is in a period of rapid growth, and the number of people who come to be transformed for the day and have a set of photographs done, has doubled in the past year.

But even though the business is very successful and expanding really quickly, our listings in Google could get a bit confusing. We get mentioned by web-based business directories, as well as by customers recommending us on networking sites, but it wasn’t always easy to go straight to our website. We wanted an expert who could give us particular advice on our business and give us the personal touch – Nikki Pilkington was that expert, and she came to us highly recommended.”

One of the first tasks was to change the websites (Double Take has a number of different sites for our various studios around the country) as Nikki advised that they could not be optimised. We now have great new websites, and Nikki carries out on-going SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and Online Reputation Management to ensure that our sites are at the top of the list.

Nikki also came to us and delivered a bespoke training course for our company. This was really important for us because we wanted everyone to understand the importance of the internet to our business and how we could all contribute. We loved the personal treatment that we got on that day – and we continue to get it on a week-to-week basis!”

Before we started working with Nikki, our sales via the website were fairly insignificant, but now, not only are the sales way up, but our customers can also get to our information much more easily than before. Our websites are going to play a much more prominent role in our marketing strategy in the future, and as this is such a fast-moving, dynamic business, we will continue to use Nikki’s expertise to ensure that our online presence is working hard for us.”
