Tip #72 - Mini maestro
If you offer more than one service, it may be worth investing in producing a few niche ‘mini sites’ to capitalise on niche and ultra targeted traffic. A mini site is almost like the spoke of a wheel – you can have multiple spokes, all promoting different things and becoming a ‘centre of knowledge’ – each one links back to your main website, which is the centre of the wheel. So for example, if you are an accountant you could have mini sites on: - business tax - personal tax - self assessment - VAT help - Accounting software Each site would have its own content and promotion strategy, but because each site focuses on just one niche, Google and other search engines have a much better idea of how to list it. It’s a great strategy for increasing awareness online and one we intend to put into practice in 2008. –oOo– Loving the daily tips but wanting more? Buy the book now for just £20!
